That depends: do those files still exist? If not, then it's ok
(non-existing files are treated in that same function as the folders).
But if those files still exist, then you should get an assertion instead
of a message.

I wanted to remove those debugging messages before the next release -
anything that's consuming CPU which isn't really necessary is something
I don't really like in a release.
