I have not forgotten this one. But I was busy solving the endless loop.
I think that one has a higher priority than this one.

I've noticed that too from time to time when the cache was restarted
without loading the saved cache from before. When I last debugged this,
I found that the shell (explorer) doesn't even *ask* for the overlay of
the other folders!
So until I find out why the shell stops asking for the overlays without
having to hit F5 first, I have to put this issue back a little.
