As far as I can see, "is not getting us far" is exactly the same as
"that's a point which I entirely don't care about, even if you do".

What are you thinking of, banner ads?
If the user clicks on a button and something pops up, supposedly
that's what he is expecting, so it's part of his workflow (thus not an
interruption).
