I didn't say that it's not useful. I'm just saying that typically non-techies don't really care. On occasion, everyone looks at it; but I, for one, rarely, if ever, look at download speeds, for instance. Also, I have no idea what you have in mind for the implementation. Honestly, I haven't seen anything to do with 1.3 before the email I responded to. I was just making a comment. I think you need to chill out a bit.

Only techies? What's that supposed to mean? Do you really think 'normal'
people don't want to know at what speed data is transferred? Have you ever seen the IE download dialog?

Great idea! Why haven't I thought of that?

Sometimes I think some people here think I'm completely stupid and that I don't know anything about what users want.
Do you really think I wouldn't have implemented it that way if we actually had that kind of information? And if it weren't for me, we wouldn't even have speed information. Because it was me who wrote the patch for Subversion which now provides that information.
