I am not asking for in indication about the time it will take...
Just look at what happens when you open the Log Messages window:
There is a progress bar in the footer of the window that indicates
some level of completion of receiving the log messages from the
server.
I would like to see something similar for generating a unified diff.
I think that is a feature request.
