Yep, I completely understand, that's why mentioned about "rebuild cache" option. I have run many times "check for modification" and just now noticed the HUGE button about checking the repository which does exactly what is needed in this case :)
I must be blind.
Seeing I'm not in HEAD is completely enough to make sure I got in HEAD before making anything stupid :)
