I'm sure about a year ago, one of the reasons for the APR patch was that
it meant not having to include the same code 3 times, which saved a few
hundred K in the installer size. Not the only reason, but one of them.

8.2MB is not too huge for a great SCM tool, but as almost half of it is
for an option that is not useful to many users, and those users may also
be on slow dialup connections, it is an important consideration.

Extending that argument, we could include all the language packs too ;-)
