OK - that makes sense. There was a single char whitespace difference in
the files concerned. I'll use revert from now on as you suggest.

It doesn't seem to fix the overlay icon status on the parent folder
though. I now have two folders which have the modified overlay (even
after F5) but no files or folders within them have any modified
overlays. If I commit, it says that there are no changes.

In fact it seems that since 1.2.0 TortoiseSVN seems to get it's overlay
icons out of sync quite often.
