I disagree. If I want to find out how a HEAD-feature works, they might
be my only recourse, other than asking on the mailing list.

If they are kept as up-to-date as possible, they can also act as an
advertisement for new features; there is more space to give details in
the documentation than in the changelog, and people who wouldn't
download nightlies to test, can hopefully-as-good-as-try-out the
HEAD-feature without getting a nightly. Which might excite them into a
frothing rage of ... excitement.

Or something. It's too hot...
