I've just found I'm getting exactly the same problem: BC2 for compares and the
path delievered to it for the compare file has a double-slash in front of the
filename. Windows XP SP-2, TortoiseSVN 1.1.7 build 3240. The previous version of
TortoiseSVN was fine, I just get this now I've upgraded to the most recent
release (I've actually had it a while but not done this kind of comparision
before). Temp variable has no trailing slash and hasn't changed since I
installed XP.

Thanks for the tip re upgrading BC to a version that can cope, but I think there
is something bust in TSVN.
