But in the test repo I sent you, all externals are empty bar 1 which has
1 file in it. And this still causes explorer to refresh many times as
soon as you modify that 1 file. I can't see why the cache would refresh
explorer many times (and I'm still talking over 100 here) for 5
externals that only contain a total of 1 versioned file.
