Yes, see below.

Well, we don't work 'in the background'. Everything is transparent
because TSVN is open source and hosted on a Subversion server.

There are two ways you can get the log messages from commits:
- subscribe to cvs at tortoisesvn_tigris_org (you must be logged in to
tigris.org and be at least an 'observer' on the tsvn project to see that
list)
- use TSVN->repository browser->show log
