Just for the diff bar of course, not the source panes. Sounds
reasonable, but _only_ if the whole line doesn't fit in the space. We
don't want to lose any context unless we have to.

Is that possible? It could work quite nicely. Alternatively, the left
and right arrow keys could do the shifting. At the moment they just do
the same as up and down arrows.
