And that is also why I do not think we should do anything until we have
released a version that has the locking feature. Let's face it, until
people are really using the feature it will be hard to know what people
want and need. In theory, the fact that the needs-lock property causes
the file to be read-only should be enough of an indicator. If someone
plans on requiring locking on all files, to make this work like VSS or
PVCS, what would be the value of showing all files with a special overlay?
I would rather know about the ones that I have personally locked so that
I remember to release the lock if I do not need it.
But I am only speculating because I have not used the feature either.
