Could be.
http://mapcar.org/tsvn-snapshots/latest/readme.txt suggests it's
turned off by default.
Can't say I believe it to be true, but better check just to be sure.

Ah. You're completely right. I misread the original posting completely.

For what it's worth, there does seem to be a lot of duplicate
filesystem activity in the logs that Piotr had attached.
