I think I just mistunderstood the following statement...:

...as saying "I've just changed it in HEAD right now" instead of as
being a historical note.

Take it as a compliment if you will that I think that you've fixed
something in less than a minute ;-).

For what it's worth, I think the way HEAD does it is much, much, much
less annoying =).
