Thanks for the heads-up, must confess that I didn't notice,
and...well...don't tell anyone :) but I was using Subclipse
to build the patch since the docs were updated in Eclipse.

Re-tried it using TortoiseSVN and it worked fine, so either
I'm doing something wrong in Subclipse or it's an issue...
will test some more and fire off an email to the Subclipse list.

NAnt can run on Linux under Mono, just not 100% (yet)

Build Mono and NAnt from latest source and it will run,
but I found that any <script> task seems to crash.
