Well, it wasn't any particular step; it's just the number and size of
all of the dependencies required: java, python, perl, BerkeleyDB, apache
source, openssl, zlib, neon -- then working around the broken subversion
project builder. Just reading about it (and reflecting on my previous
attempts at dealing with just BerkeleyDB and apache) was enough to tell
me that it's more than I have time for right now. If it were just
VS.NET2003, Subversion run-time and DLLs, and the TortoiseSVN GUI source
itself, I'd be more inclined to put in the effort.

I know - it's not TSVN's fault, but that's the way it is...
