Yes, I think all questions should come to the mailing list and we should
put the cleaned up versions of relevant questions on the FAQ site.

But it's not really fair to blame the questioner for that. No question
is frequently asked until someone actually asks it, and as the FAQ
currently offers a way to do that, then FAQ readers will do it.

For the 1.2 release, should be drop the FAQ from the manual and just put
in a link to the online FAQ and mailing list?
