[TSVN] Merge - the final cut or the last straw

Hi Folks,

OK. I have finally come round to Stefan's way of thinking. No extra
button, behaviour of show log depends on the state of the "Use From:
URL" checkbox. Anyone who wants to use Show log in the old way just has
to uncheck the box.

I have just been testing r2553 from the latest nightly, and here are the
bugs I found.

1. The range selection (with checkbox checked) does not work. Whatever
range I select, 1 rev or many, _both_ to and from revisions are set to
the (LowerRev - 1).

2. When using the WC showlog, at one stage it would set the From rev but
it doesn't do that any more. That was a very useful feature because you
could scan the WC comments to find revision where the last merge
applied. Most of the time you can use that as the starting point for the
next merge.

3. When 'Use "From:" URL' is checked, changing the "From:" URL does not
update the greyed-out "To:" URL. Apart from being a potential source of
confusion, it also affects usability. If I want the old show log
behaviour, a useful shortcut would be to set the "From:" URL (and the
"To:" URL automatically), then uncheck the box.

4. The error message if you try to merge with no revision set should
have a comma ',' after "WC" and after "positive decimal numbers".
