I assume it is getting too late to start putting in the changes to the
merge dialog now, especially as we have not agreed on the best way to do
it yet. We _could_ still do the relatively minor change I suggested,
which is really just a text change (although there is still no agreement
about the exact wording), and possibly control positioning. Anything
more sophisticated can wait until after 1.1.3 release.

I will have a look at upgrading the merging doc based on the existing
UI.

There will be a bit of merging to do to get these doc updates into the
branch!
