The reason for getting rid of those versions isn't the MBCS part. It's
the Win98/Me/NT4 part which makes TSVN sometimes (often?) crash on
those systems. And since I only get bug reports/crashreports from
those systems but nobody here actually can build/debug TSVN on those
systems (my hardware is too new, so I can't even _install_ win98
anymore because the lack of drivers) those bugs can't get fixed
correctly. All I can do is guess and provide a 'fix' based upon
guessing. That's not very good, and let's face it: TSVN never really
was stable on those systems.

That's not a problem.

Sure:
http://stats.tigris.org/tortoisesvn/

(for january 2005:
UNICODE 1.1.2 : 19671 downloads
MBCS 1.1.2 : 613 downloads
)
