Good question.
Technically, I created them all myself by hand and am willing to make them
GPL for you. However, they are heavily influenced by the GIF's that are
provided by Eclipse which is licensed under the Eclipse Public License.
Those GIF's are all 8 x 8 pixels. The icons were hand-coded based on
those GIF's, it was not just a cut & paste job. I also had to make some
modifications to work with a different color pallete, so the colors are
not all exactly the same.
I do not know how that would be interpreted. I have attached the Eclipse
originals if you want to judge for yourself.
By the way, we are now using your icons in Subclipse for our menu actions.
Subclipse is licensed under the Common Public License. We have provided
credit to TortoiseSVN for the icons in several places, and indicate that
those icons are licensed under the GPL. The icons are all stored in a
separate Tortoise folder. I assume that is all OK from a licensing point
of view? I recall the question was asked on this list many months ago,
and that is what we were told to do. Also, we have implemented the
bug-tracking integration in Subclipse according to the spec. That will be
in version 0.9.25 when it is posted, if anyone wants to have a look.
Thanks
Mark
