Are you already using Subversion? Which client do you use?

Where did you get this flag from? I don't remember seeing anything
mentioned about that in the subversion book.

Aha! You have marked some files using a flag which hasn't been invented
yet. Now that is forward planning ;-)

But seriously folks, what are you asking here? Do you want to check out
only a part of the repository tree? AFAIK you can't select individual
files to check out. You can check out only part of a source tree. When
you click on Checkout, you get a dialog asking you for the repository
URL to check out from. You can go down as far as you like into the
repository - you don't have to check out the entire tree. You can also
select to exclude subdirectories, so you just get the content of one
directory without its children. But you do need to specify a directory
to checkout, not a file/files.
