(apologies that this is happening in slo-mo - my laptop only has a 'net
connection 2 days a week when I'm working for this client.

There was no text in any of the UI, including the error dialog that popped up
when I tried to update (It had a red x symbol and that's it). Which suggests a
missing language file?

I don't know how to use the command line client, but everything connected fine
as soon as I reverted to 1.0.8.
There does seem to be one aftereffect. Now when I've been using TSVN, windows
explorer goes into a crash loop when I try to shut down windows, and I have to
resort to a brute-force shutdown via the power switch.
