Why will that be bad? The diffs are colour coded, so you can see where
they are. In fact if TMerge is set to jump to first diff automatically,
the lines are not highlighted.

Actually, clicking around with left and right buttons in a file with a
block of consecutive changed lines, sometimes one line gets highlighted
and sometime the whole block, so it is not at all clear whether "this
block" means the whole block or just the highlighted line in the block.

Right click twice in a block seems to select the whole block. Left click
outsidef the block then right click inside the block leaves the line
outside highlighted, but the context menu still appears in the
unselected block.

If you really want to indicate current line, can you highlight the line
number instead of the file text?
