I already asked this question once. Do we really need the BOMs anymore? Many
(if not most) editors destroy them. Each of our documents is a valid xml
document on its own. We should pay attention that the the first line of each
document reads: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

Thoughts?
