I agree that the current scheme could be improved. Another option you
might consider is "If there are changes to my WC". So if there are
merges, conflicts, additions, deletions, prop changes, etc. then maybe I
want to know about that. Just updating the rev number in folders does
not count as a real change in this case.
You could have this as a 5th option, or it could be a replacement for 2
& 3, making it simpler.
It would be useful if the progress dialog could include a summary
showing either the most serious level of WC change that it had found
during the update (conflict, merge, add/delete, prop change), or the
number of changes in each catgory (conflicted: 1, merged: 2, added: 0,
deleted: 0, prop-change:1). Even if the box stays open, if there are
lots of changes I want to know whether to scroll back through the list.
With extra information, the default size of the box should be bigger, so
you can see more without scrolling.
