Tampering files, (or "faking" author identity)... Faking is "near-good"
term, because if

Write access to repository is authenticated

Username-pass can serve (and serve really) as User-ID, but this data
_can_ be stolen...

If all files in commit will be signed with ...something... S-MIME cert,
PGP-key, task of intruder will be harder
