For some value of 'now'. AFAIK Shell Extensions have been called that for
about ten years (at least since Win95 was in development)

I'll agree it's cluttered, and the fact that the context (i.e. right-click)
menus appear to join the top of the window is rather confusing. It is
captioned 'A sample of the explorer view integration.' though, which is
very close to your preferred terminology.

I'm afraid, though, that I don't think we should abandon the expression
'shell extension'. This has the following virtues:

1. It's widely understood, particularly so among TSVN's likely audience.
2. It's established over a very long time.
3. It's the proper name for a shell extension.
4. We'll have achieved an educational bonus if a few more people learn the
proper name of a shell extension after (or even better, before) installing
TSVN.
