You're right. I had just clicked on '-' to close 'Myproject/trunk', so
nothing was highlighted. The selection rectangle was visible however. Maybe
this behaviour can be enhanced, so that F5 and Ctrl-F5 work on the current
selection, not on the highlighted item?

BTW hitting '+' or F5 in the repo browser crashes about 30% to 50% of all
tries. I sent you a crash report. If you want (many) more, just drop me an
e-mail.
