Sorry, but I have to say no to this.
In the beginning of TSVN, the checkout worked this way. But then people
complained that this wasn't intuitive and that they ended up with a
checkout in a subfolder they didn't tell to create. So I changed it to
what it is now.

I really don't like the idea of changing the behaviour of a feature back
and forth all the time. I already changed this once, I think that's enough.

You're free to discuss this on the list and count the votes against and
for the change. If you get more votes to change it I'll do it, but that
will _definitely_ be the _last time_ I change this.
