I use the same version of TortoiseMerge as you. And I don't get any error.
Please try taking off the "Show Whitespaces" function. I think it may get some help.
BTW: From your send mail server IP, I found that you send this mail from Nanjing,
and I'm also in Nanjing. Do you have an communication tool like MSN or other
communication method, I think we can talk with each other closely.
