2005 Beta can be downloaded for free:
http://lab.msdn.microsoft.com/vs2005/get/default.aspx#express

This is beta software, and also a reduced capability version, offering
somewhat less than the full visual studio package. For example, there's
no MFC support, no Platform SDK either. You may not be able to compile
TSVN with this. When the product is released next year, it will cost
around $99.
