[TSVN] disable icon overlays

Hello

I have a project with many files in 1 directory (2200)
when browsing a local checked out copy of this directory with the explorer, this takes a long time to update all the icons.
the cpu is running at 100% and the process consuming is explorer.exe

I tried disabling the icons by renaming the icon folder under the installation, but it still takes a long time.
I know you can disable the status-coupling of underlying objects to the parent, but that is not the problem here.

My hardware: pII 400MHz laptop with 312MB RAM and some laptop 10GB HD (4200rpm?)
My OS: windows xp sp1
I disabled McAfee (company policy) to scan the .svn directory and subdirectory

are there any other directives I missed out?
