[Subclipse-users] Subclipse slow install

Installing subclipse using Help -> Eclipse Marketplace is so, so slow.
Even at home where I have a 15 Mbps cable modem, it took 5
minutes to get past the dependency search, and another 5 minutes
for the actual install.
I tried recently at a coffee shop (know, one shouldn't install
software over a public access point).
and it was actually impossibly slow, even though web browsing was fine.

When will Subclipse come bundled standard with Eclipse so one
doesn't have to fight the marketplace to install it?
Judging by https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=284552
the answer is 'never', which is too bad.

I guess I'm not really expecting any help here, just kvetching.
