[Subclipse-users] should i be able to delete files just on the file system?

With the new 1.7 plugin?
And then in Eclipse/Subclipse will be picking these up as out going deletions?

currently i don't see anything in the sync view and the files are gone
Only when i do an update they are suddenly all back..
