[Subclipse-users] svn delete on file overwrite

Hi,

Regarding http://subclipse.tigris.org/ds/viewMessage.do?dsForumId=1047&dsMessageId=2808233 and http://subclipse.tigris.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=483 what I do not quite understand is that this works absolutely fine with 1.4.x (I use 1.4.8 to be precise)

This issue is the only reason why my team stays on Subclipse 1.4.8 and, unfortunately, svn 1.5.

Do 1.4.x and 1.6.x not use the same Eclipse API? If they do use the same API, why can't the 1.4.x (correct) behaviour be restored? I'm asking this in a constructive manner: if I can help in anyway in terms of code contribution, I will, and any technical info as to why this has not been fixed before will be useful.
