That is not quite true (that it does not work with 64-bit Java).
Subclipse does not provide 64-bit native binaries for Windows. But
you can still use SVNKit which is pure Java. Also, as noted the FAQ
instructs you on where to get 64-bit native binaries (which is what I
would recommend)
