[Subclipse-users] bug: selecting comments crashes compiz

From: Elliot Wolk <elliot.wolk_at_lillegroup.com>
Date: Thu, 08 Jul 2010 13:20:23 -0400

in the commit dialog, selecting <Choose previously entered comment>
immediately crashes my window manager, though the popup then shows up,
and everything continues functioning normally.

it does this every time without fail, and has since Galileo.
i have a few long comments in the dialog. the longest is 17 lines and
1412 characters. the popup extends far off the screen.

i get this error from compiz:
compiz (core) - Warn: Exceeded max texture size
Launching fallback window manager

steps to reproduce:
1) ensure compiz WM is running
2) show the commit dialog
3) click <Choose previously entered comment>

i am running:
-Ubuntu 10.04 x86-64
-Eclipse Helios {and Eclipse Galileo}
-Subclipse 1.6.12
-compiz 0.8.4
-fglrx {standard proprietary ATI driver}

on:
-lenovo T400
-2.53ghz dual core
-4gb RAM
-ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3400 Series

thanks for taking the time to read this.
