Hopefully one or all of you are reporting your problems to
Eclipse.org. They make and control the installer not plugin authors.

I installed Subclipse using Marketplace Client on Helios JEE and it
worked perfectly. This was on OSX.

The CDT problem is just about not having the installer automatically
install JDT ... again an installer bug.

Maybe you do not have write permissions to the install directories? I
recall that being a problem for some users with 3.5.
