I just got it working. I had tried cleaning everything out and re-installing several times, but to no avail.

Finally, I tried just using the "classic" Eclipse 3.5 distribution, and everything seemed to work.

It appears to be some incompatibility between *something* in the Eclipse 3.5 Java Developer download, Subclipse, and Mylyn Trac connector.

On my system (32-bit Windows Vista), anyway.
