[Subclipse-users] Eclipse with SVN problems

From: <postmaster_at_tigris.org>

Hi,

I am having problems checking out a project into Eclipse even though I checked it in using the subclipse plugin. Any help is appreciated as I am stuck :)

Here is what I did -
- I created an SVN repository (trunk, branches, tags) on the server
- I have a Dynamic Web Prject (working with no errors) that I created in Eclipse. I have the latest subclipse plugin installed
- From my workstation, through Eclipse, I shared (Team->sharing) and commited the project to the SVN server.

Till this point things are good. I could update and refresh the code base in that project.

The problem comes up when I try to check out the project in a new directory. Even if I use Eclipse to check out the project, it wants me to create a new project. Why is that? Am I doing something wrong? If I create a new project and define the server environment every time I check out a project it totally makes no sense to have SVN in the first place. Please help.

-Vas
