I'm up and running now, thanks for tip. I'm not really sure why I
didn't select it the first time, maybe I didn't understand what it was
so I stayed o the safe side.

It sounds like you just did not install the JavaHL feature from our
update site. Check that. Then open preferences and go to Team > SVN.
 See if any options are listed in the drop-down.
