[Subclipse-users] "get latest" in subclipse

Hello -

  The eclipse GUI has the "team" menus, and also the subclipse plugin provides "checkout" and "synchronize" and "update" semantics.
  Is there a way to change the names to mean:
  1) "get latest" = get read-only copies from repo;
  2) "check-out" = lock so others can't check-out ???

  Is there a way to exclude the ambiguous menu items in favor of a single set of explicit menu items (i.e. remove "team" menu, and rely on subclipse-plugin additios to the GUI)?

  That (get-latest vs. check-out) seems to be the ONE thing that SourceSafe [used] to do right (I haven't used SS in a long time)
