It certainly does not seem like it. I have heard people say the new
UI has an "easy" way to rollback. So maybe you can rollback to before
the install and try again?

One thing I have found with the new installer is that it does some
loading in the background. Sometimes if I just wait when the screen
comes up I do not get problems. I will say that when this has been a
problem it has simply prevented me from starting the install. It
never failed during the install.
