RE: [Subclipse-users] Copy folder should not include .svn information

Hey,

I seem to remember that subclipse simply cannot do this, because Eclipse does not provide a hook on this. That's why the "Team/copy" best practice has to be tought, while we wait a way to do this.

Am I right, Mark? If so, do you know if this bug will be fixable in 3.3 or if there's some roadmap to permit it?

Objet : [Subclipse-users] Copy folder should not include .svn information

This is duplicate/extension of issue #64

        Running on:
        Windows XP SP2
        Eclipse 3.2M6
        SubClipse 1.2.1 (SVNKit -> http)

Using Copy/Paste when copying folders in Eclipse, includes the .svn information in the copy operation.

The resulting new folder looks like it is already included and up-to-date with the repository (not even shown in the sync view!).
Attempts at deletion (from Eclipse) results in the new folder being shown with deletion SVN icons, and the following result in the svn console:
Problem on first log entry in a working copy
        svn: In directory 'C:\Eclipse\OEE\profiles'
svn: Error processing command 'modify-entry' in 'C:\Eclipse\OEE\profiles'
svn: Error modifying entry for 'development'
Unmergeable scheduling requested on an entry
svn: 'development' is not under version control

Using Team|Copy and normal Move and Rename of folders works just fine!
But the Copy/Paste operation should be a viable option!

        Regards
        Jens Gabe
