Only from 1.3.1 to 1.3.2, and I did then subsequently reinstall the old
version - same problem. This makes me wonder if there is some nefarious
shared-library related problem.

Tried both 1.0.3 and 1.1.8.

/me crosses fingers and tries to build the Debian package on Ubuntu.
