My recollection, although I have not gone back to the archives to confirm,
is that we said this was a feature we did not want in the product. Besides
the fact that it would be more difficult to add this feature in a SVN
client than it is in a CVS client, I think it just adds option bloat and
does not add enough value to justify its presence.
