[Subclipse-users] checkout for specific revision (revisited)

Back in July of 2005 therewas an inquiry about the capability for Subclipse
to checkout a specific revision from a repository (i.e. not head). The
response to the inquiry was "We do not support that." and mentioned
combining checkout and swich to get the desired results. Although the work
around is all well and good, is there a concrete reason why the desired
functionality is not offered? It seems a simple dialog could not only
streamline this process, but also make it much more intuative. Please
reconsider this issue. I would be happy to look into adding this
functionality myself, although I am not at all familiar with the code base
(yet).
